Registered roofing contractors, area by area

Every contractor here is on the NFRC Competent Person Scheme register, which means government has licensed it to certify its own work against the Building Regulations. Nobody pays to be on this list and nobody can pay to move up it.

By region

The scheme certifies work in England and Wales. A roofing contractor in Scotland or Northern Ireland works under a different building standards system and will not appear here, which is a fact about the scheme rather than about the contractor.

How to check a contractor before you hire

  1. Take the name from the listing and search it on the scheme's own contractor search, linked at the foot of every page. That is the register this site copied, and it is the authority.
  2. Ask for the public liability insurance certificate and read the expiry date. A number on a van is not a certificate.
  3. Ask which roof types the firm is registered for and check it against the disciplines shown here: pitched, flat and fully supported metal are separate registrations.
